A slaughter!
A slaughter of 400 interstellar warships against 3,000 interstellar warships.
From first to last, the fighting lasted under an hour's time.
General Ted witnessed all of it — a slaughter that could be called a very work of art.
First was that one round of interstellar-missile saturation firepower strike, lasting close to 10 minutes; though a portion of it was intercepted, more of it still fell, one and all, upon the Warhammer Interstellar Commonwealth's interstellar warships.
For one must know — a T2 interstellar warship had no star shield!
Struck by a T3 interstellar missile, its end could well be imagined.
One round of interstellar-missile firepower strike directly destroyed close to half the interstellar warships, and the remaining half of the Warhammer interstellar warships were, too, all barely clinging to their last breath.
Of the hundred T3 interstellar warships, under 30 were left, their star-shield energy values, all the more, near enough exhausted.
And right after, before these Warhammer interstellar warships had recovered from the interstellar missiles' firepower attack, a great mass of T3 interstellar frigates came sweeping in like jackals and wolves.
Though they were T3 interstellar frigates, the intensity of their attacks was not one bit inferior to Warhammer's T3-grade interstellar battlecruisers!
And, moreover, their number was an astonishing 200!
Apart from these, on the outer battle-line, there was, besides, a T3 interstellar battlecruiser of astonishing speed roving and hunting.
And some powerful interstellar fighters conducting harassment against this Warhammer interstellar legion's interstellar warships.
The remaining thousand-odd interstellar warships of the Warhammer interstellar legion were, at a speed visible to the naked eye, destroyed and fell one after another — without even the least chance to resist.
So much so that, by the time the fighting ended, that mysterious interstellar fleet had, of all things, not a single interstellar warship lost?
It was truly a beyond-belief battle result.
And still more beyond belief was that it should, of all things, be equipped with so many T3 interstellar warships — just what manner of divine sovereign was this interstellar fleet?
"Gulp… this is far too strong… before, these 3,000 interstellar warships brought us no small trouble." the beast-folk adjutant said, unable to believe it.
"These T3 interstellar warships' performance is all very strong." General Ted looked at these T3 interstellar warships with some envy.
If he'd had these T3 interstellar warships, then how would he have come off the loser before the Warhammer interstellar legion?
And at this moment, those Warhammer T1 interstellar warships, originally in charge of exterminating the ground rebel army within the planet, began to flee in panic and disorder; their boss had been wiped out — what more could these fish-ships do?
Most regrettably, that mysterious fleet had no thought of letting them off.
Several T2 interstellar frigates entered the planet's atmosphere and, at exceedingly swift speed, exterminated those Warhammer T1 interstellar warships; and at the same time, big things, one after another, were put down from the sky.
Boom, boom, boom.
Sounds like an earthquake came from the ground.
Thereupon, huge figures, one after another, towered there.
Interstellar combat mechas!
One could clearly see that these interstellar combat mechas were composed chiefly of two classes.
One large, one small.
The small ones were pitch-black all over; the large ones bore a platinum-and-gold paint-scheme.
Some of Warhammer's ground troops were still resisting; a recoilless ground-pulse-cannon, from a distant hilltop, took aim at a mecha squad in the distance that had just landed.
And there were, besides, 10 infantry self-propelled artillery armored vehicles, along with a 300-man ground combat squad.
"Attack!" the squad captain handed down the order.
The recoilless ground-pulse-cannon and the infantry self-propelled artillery armored vehicles opened fire at the same moment!
But the very next second, these attacks were all steadily blocked by a single star shield.
"Star shield under attack; star-shield energy value at 73% remaining."
Listening to the sound of the machine-body's system, Ye Xiaotong cast an eye over the enemy position her machine-body's radar had scanned, and directly raised her own two Gatling-style 52-barrel beam autocannons, taking aim at that hilltop.
The gun-barrels spun out, carrying a blue radiance!
The next second, densely teeming energy beams directly shaved that little hilltop clean flat — and as for those enemies' life-signals, they'd all already vanished.
"Captain — you might, at the least, leave us a chance to show ourselves too."
"So envious — I want to pilot a T3 Templar as well!"
Within the comm channel there rang out the envious and "grumbling" voices of her squadmates.
Ye Xiaotong said with a helpless laugh, "For now the number of T3 Templars isn't very great; but so long as you fight hard, in the future you'll surely have the chance to possess a T3 Templar of your own."
Hearing the captain's words, the other mecha pilots were each as though injected with a shot of chicken-blood, and began to go on searching out the enemies to come.
And it was just at this point that, in the distance, there appeared a Warhammer ground-mecha force — a full 300 ground-combat mechas, but all of them T2-grade.
"Make ready for battle; don't use thermal weapons. My radar has scanned a small shelter beneath that position." Ye Xiaotong handed down the order.
"Understood."
The T2 Black Knight mechas raised their own Black Knight light-swords.
And at this point, the T3 Templar mecha made a motion of flinging its two arms outward, and in one stroke two light-swords shot forth from the mecha's wrist-positions; thereupon the huge interstellar combat mecha raced out at exceedingly swift speed!
For all the world like a bolt of platinum lightning.
Out beyond the planet, the T4 Vermilion Bird-class Medium Interstellar Cruiser hovered here.
A T4-grade interstellar warship could no longer enter into a planet's interior; that was of enormous energy consumption.
"What a pity — there was no chance for the T4 Vermilion Bird to show itself," Lilith said with some dejection; she'd originally thought she'd get to witness the T4 Vermilion Bird-class Medium Interstellar Cruiser's maiden battle.
"With mere fish like these, how would it be the T4 Vermilion Bird's turn to make a move," Charlotte said blandly.
Zhao Chen, off to the side, made to speak, then held back, with a wry smile.
This battle, he'd handed over in full to Charlotte to command.
But he'd never imagined Charlotte would fight this battle so quickly — so that Zhao Chen's mind wandered a moment, and the enemy's T3 interstellar warships had all been destroyed, every one.
For one must know, he still had a T4 Vermilion Bird maiden-battle mission!
Zhao Chen could only console himself: it's all right, it's all right.
There's no T4 interstellar warship here anyway; there's another battle to fight after this — and when the time comes, we'll just wipe out some more T3 interstellar warships, and that'll be that.
"Lilith, go arrange the fleet's resupply. For all the interstellar warships, the T3 Judicators above all, complete the resupply of the expended munitions as swiftly as possible," Zhao Chen said.
"Yes." Lilith at once went to see to this matter.
Of it, the most important was, still, the resupply of the T3 Judicator-class Heavy Interstellar Missile Ships; happily, the interstellar missiles the interstellar supply ships carried this time were sufficient, and, besides, they'd brought 10 T3 Great White Whale-class Heavy Interstellar Transport Ships along.
The interstellar missiles aboard these were enough for the five T3 Judicators to conduct at least five rounds of saturation firepower strike.
"Charlotte, the matters upon this planet are yours to deal with." Zhao Chen looked toward Charlotte, whose gaze was somewhat complex.
Charlotte clenched her fist; though the battle was won, she felt not the slightest joy.
"Sister, rest assured. Our honored father won't come to harm." Midai'er, only now recovered from the shock of a moment ago, seeing her sister's complex expression, at once comforted her, taking her meaning.
Charlotte drew a deep breath, and instructed, "Deploy the interstellar drones; I'm going to conduct a whole-planet holographic-projection comm address."
