"Spots of light" began to appear on the planet's star shield; each was an attack coming down.
Queen Leng Yun even raised her head and looked at the sky through a transparent window along one side of the palace; she could see the scene in the sky now, like meteorites falling.
Suddenly a huge spot of light appeared overhead; the shock wave it made blew away a great stretch of the clouds inside the planet's atmosphere, leaving a great expanse of cloudless sky.
