The T5 Crimson-Reaper-class Heavy Interstellar Strategic Missile Ship's missiles began besides a dense bombardment upon certain districts of stubbornly resisting enemy ships.
While the T5 Frost-Tyrant-class Heavy Interstellar Missile Battlecruisers and the T5 Lightning-Wraith-class Heavy Assault Interstellar Cruisers worked with them, leaning upon their high speed and high mobility to take the tasks of support and of hunting upon the field.
And beneath this assault, the mechanical royal court's line of defense, which had seemed upon the point of collapse.
Began at this moment, little by little, to push the line back the other way.
Within the mechanical royal court
"So this is the Owl Dragon Legion's capacity in war…" Ah-Jin watched this, and understood at last why Ah-Yin held that faith in the Owl Dragon Legion.
Set anyone in her place, having seen with his own eyes the Owl Dragon Legion's mastery upon a field, and he would not doubt their capacity in war in the least.
"Pass my order: the legion fleets of every part are, for this while, to follow the Owl Dragon Legion's orders and command without condition.
"So long as nothing of the deepest secrecy be touched upon, they are to fight alongside the Owl Dragon Legion." Ah-Jin laid this order upon her subordinates once again.
She understands very well now that whether this campaign can be carried rests upon the Owl Dragon Legion.

Upon the field of the Beta star gate, taken by the Demon Race before this, that part of the Demon Knight Legion's fleet holding the place was grievously wounded by the Owl Dragon Third Legion and the Owl Dragon Tenth Legion, and lost near three hundred thousand warships.
The demon legion's marshal fell, and but a small number of warships escaped.
This is the seventh demon marshal to fall since the Demon Race began its war with the Owl Dragon Legion.
The same day
At the mechanical royal court's other end, the demon legion fleet that would have attacked the Iron Guard star gate was destroyed to the last ship by the Owl Dragon First Legion, and the Iron Guard star gate's crisis was lifted.
The Iron Guard star gate has been taken over by the Owl Dragon for the present, and will be used chiefly to send across the Owl Dragon Legion's logistical resources, and warships, and the rest.
Thereafter the Owl Dragon First Legion took part in the campaign of the mechanical royal court.

After near a week of fighting, the Owl Dragon Fourth, Eleventh and Twelfth Legions at last took the Baku star gate, destroyed it, and withdrew.
In this battle the three Owl Dragon legions fought, one after another, the two hundred thousand Demon Knight Legion warships garrisoning the Baku star gate; these two hundred thousand all died in battle, and with that the Demon Knight Legion, one of the Demon Race's picked legions, may be said to exist in name only.
Besides those two hundred thousand, the Demon Race sent in the course of it near three hundred thousand warships more in support of the Baku star gate.
Which worked exceedingly great pressure upon the three Owl Dragon legion fleets; and that is why it was dragged out near a week before the Baku star gate was taken.
And further, taking thought that more and more Demon Race warships would follow hard upon one another, Commander Shen Bing of the Owl Dragon Fourth Legion, who had charge of that field, chose to wreck the Baku star gate and draw out of the fighting outright.
And the event proved this a wise choice: above five hundred thousand warships should have been yet upon the road.
In this campaign of the Baku star gate the three Owl Dragon legions destroyed three hundred thousand enemy warships in all.

The Owl Dragon Second Legion and the Owl Dragon Ninth Legion, having entered the Demon Race's eastern star region, worked successfully with the local revolutionary race-lines and raised risings in many places.
Turning from field to field, they destroyed in all near two hundred thousand Demon Race warships in those several places.
And brought above two thirds of the eastern star region's star systems wholly within the revolution's map, setting up an organization called the New Demon Peoples' Alliance.
Headed by a demon race-line that had vanished these several tens of years.
And besides this, answering the New Demon Peoples' Alliance's call, the race-lines squeezed and oppressed by the Demon Race's high officers in every part of Demon Race territory began risings here and there.
Though none of them formed so great a momentum as the eastern star region's, yet a spark of fire may set a whole plain alight.
And these can work exceedingly great pressure upon the Demon Race's present case at the front!
These things Zhao Chen set out beforehand in the back courtyard of the Demon Race's leader, the Demon King, have every one of them now taken effect.
Though for these one must thank besides the several tyrannies His Majesty the Demon King has practiced in this while, and the great wars one upon another these two years, which have made the military expenditure swell sharply and worked exceedingly great pressure upon the territories and star systems.
These risings are all of them the fruit of long oppression.

The Owl Dragon Fifth, Thirteenth and Fourteenth Legions, working with the counter-attack the Angel Race legion fleets had opened, pushed the map of the line at one stroke straight back to the borders as they stood before the Demon Race's rise.
So that what the Demon Race has laid out these several years may be said to have been spat up entire.
And they even threatened several important points of resource within the Demon Race's borders.
But at this time the three Owl Dragon legions chose to halt their attack, and to rest where they stood.
And yet by that they seemed rather to have hung three daggers above three of the Demon Race's mortal places.
For if no demon legions be set to garrison these districts, then those districts stand wholly undefended against the Owl Dragon Legion.
But to send troops to garrison them is to be unable to send more Demon Race warships to the front-line field.
By the present reckoning, these three Owl Dragon legions and the Angel Race garrisoning the border have of themselves left a million Demon Race warships in that district not daring to stir!
And in the fighting before this the three Owl Dragon legions took a record of at least three hundred thousand Demon Race warships besides; and with the Angel Race together, they have worked near five hundred thousand warships of casualties upon the enemy in all!

After twenty days of hard fighting, the million Demon Race warships at the mechanical royal court were at the last annihilated to the last ship!
When the Owl Dragon Legion's fleets from the two lines met, there was nothing between them but the wreckage of those Demon Race warships.
"It is fought out." Zhao Chen looked at the warships opposite — the Owl Dragon Sixth Legion, the Seventh Legion, and the Owl Dragon Third and Tenth Legions come from the Beta star gate's field.
He let out a long breath, and looked toward the Machine Race's representative across the video window, Ah-Yin.
This while past it has been she who had whole charge of the working together with the Owl Dragon Legion.
"Yes; it is fought out." Within Ah-Yin too there brimmed a stirring she could not name; she laid her hand against her own cold breast,[1] and yet felt a burning there.
Which she had never known before.
"Every line is to rest ten days.
"And ten days from now." Zhao Chen said no more; the quarter those two eyes of his were fixed upon.
