Several plates of the T5 Crimson-Reaper-class Heavy Interstellar Strategic Missile Ship's hull armor stretched slowly open.
Showing beneath them the missile launchers in dense array, like a honeycomb.
This is the Crimson Reaper's first ship, and the Crimson Reaper's first battle besides!
Far off, the dragon-girl Leona, commanding her own fleet in the fighting, had divided out on purpose one picture-screen within the command interface before her, and gave it her attention now and again.
And within that picture-screen were those very three hundred Owl Dragon interstellar warships lately come up in support!
At the same time there had reached her a small alteration to the plan of battle, from Commander Ye Xiaotong.
With a secret document appended to it besides.
She opened it, and within were noted down the basic combat data upon those several new classes of T5 interstellar warship.
Crimson Reaper, Spear of Sin, Frost Tyrant, King of the Hill…
Seeing the names of these four new T5 classes.
The dragon-girl Leona muttered to herself a little. "The names are not badly chosen at all.
"Only how is it there are so many words at the back of them; they are such a mouthful to say.
"Can it be that the interstellar warships our Commander brings out are of the kind where the longer the name the mightier the ship?"
And just at this moment, within the picture, one could see that interstellar missile ship with the crimson paint upon her hull unfolding little by little; and the most striking part of it was the place she held to.
A crimson bow cannon, something in the way of an electromagnetic railgun, stretched slowly out from the bow.
The dragon-girl Leona called up the data upon this class of interstellar warship.

20,000 Crimson Reaper Type V ultra-long-range dark-matter high-explosive interstellar missiles
2,000 Crimson Reaper Type VI black-hole-property-imitating antimatter interstellar missiles】
Casting an eye down it from the top, there is in the main no great difference from an ordinary interstellar missile ship: only that the interstellar missiles are exchanged for T5-grade interstellar missiles, and the load of ordnance increased.
And it even carries on certain of those outstanding and excellent interstellar missile technologies from the T4 Hell-Angel-class Heavy Interstellar Missile Ship.
Of course, the dragon-girl Leona was startled too by that vast load of ordnance — a load of six million five hundred thousand interstellar missiles.
A full near twenty times the T4 Hell-Angel's of before!
It is hard to imagine what an astronomical figure the spending of one such round of interstellar missiles would come to.
A hundred billion star coins?
Three hundred billion star coins?
Or 1 trillion star coins?
It is likely only that Commander who knows how terrible a gold-swallowing beast this is.
And within this T5 Crimson Reaper the dragon-girl Leona found the thing that differed most of all — that additional bow cannon.
【The Crimson Ballista】
"Is it that plaything?" The dragon-girl Leona cast an eye at the live picture.
Thereafter she opened the account of this 【Crimson Ballista】.
And at one glance only, her pupils grew several times their size.
Thereafter she fixed her eyes upon the live picture, and even laid aside for the moment the command of the field upon her own side — though, for the help of her staff department, this worked in the main no great effect.
One saw at that crimson great cannon's fore end a sudden appearing of whirling rings of air, one after another, as though something had been sent out from it; yet to the naked eye, but for a streak of crimson, no other plain sign whatever could be seen.
Thereafter she marked, at that end of the King-of-the-North Legion nearest these three hundred Owl Dragon warships, from some point or other, a welling up of crimson particle light.
This crimson particle light formed a sphere, stretching out without cease, and passing over demon warship after demon warship.
And the demon warships it passed over took no effect whatever upon their hulls.
But the star-shield fields that wrapped those warships vanished away without a sound!
"They truly did it… it is past all belief." The dragon-girl Leona gulped.
She made a first rough reckoning: from the force of a single shot only, upon the King-of-the-North Legion's side, the star-shields of at least ten thousand interstellar warships were left with nothing remaining.
And these demon warships, their defense lost — before ever their captains had grasped what the business was.
Interstellar missiles in dense array came at them like a rain of meteors.
Their star-shield defense gone, these demon warships could rely upon nothing but their own flesh to bear the wild bombardment opposite.
The end of it may be imagined.
Where most interstellar civilizations now set great store by star-shield defensive technology, to lose the star-shield.
Is as good as an ancient soldier who, his shield and armor lost and no cover of any kind about him, must bear a sky full of the enemy's arrows.
And guided arrows besides!
Demon warship after demon warship was locked, was struck, and then burst!
Which had this effect: that those who watched could see with the naked eye a spreading like flame sweeping over grass.
Above six million interstellar missiles!
And the firing of them all took ten minutes only.
"Ten minutes!" The dragon-girl Leona was startled of a sudden at that figure.
With a load of ordnance near twenty times the Hell-Angel's, this efficiency of firing had not risen in the least!
Still ten minutes, as before.
From which one may imagine how terrible a thing this Crimson Reaper is.
Thinking upon it, the dragon-girl Leona gulped.
At the same time her eyes went to the other three new classes of interstellar warship.
She was beginning to look forward to what they might show.
After the T5 Crimson Reaper had completed her first round of firepower and torn open outright a vast gap within the King-of-the-North Legion's position.
Those three hundred Owl Dragon warships had, long before the firing, already begun their charge.
The T5 King-of-the-Hill-class Heavy Interstellar Comprehensive Strategic Escorts and the T5 Chaos-Knight-class Heavy Assault Interstellar Destroyers charged foremost; and though their speed is not the swiftest.
Their drive is the steadiest.
And with the T5 King-of-the-Hill's defensive technology besides, which can support friendly ships with star-shields, not one Owl Dragon warship fell throughout the whole course of the charge.
And by this time, between those three hundred Owl Dragon warships and the King-of-the-North Legion's belly — which is to say the flagship of that Marshal King-of-the-North.
There lay yet ten thousand demon warships between!
And at this time a class of warship that had been slow to act showed its fangs.
The T5 Spear-of-Sin-class Heavy Interstellar Heavy-Artillery Ship!
